MEDIEVAL CITY OF ST AMBROIX
Saint-Ambroix is a medieval town located near the Cévennes National Park where the Celts and Romans left traces of their passage. Dominated by the Dugas rock and the Guisquet Tower, Saint-Ambroix is crossed by the Cèze, a river with many outdoor activities and which passes through many remarkable “villages of character” or “Most beautiful villages of France“. Thanks to its privileged geographical situation, Saint-Ambroix is also the starting point for countless tourist itineraries and is a great place to live!

Montclus is a small, well-preserved village between the vineyards and the Cèze, with a remarkable architecture. This charming place is classified as one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France“. Amongst them, you can discover Lussan, a village perched on a rocky outcrop surrounded by ramparts close to the Concluses, La Roque sur Cèze and its famous Cascades du Sautadet and Aiguèze, a village with cobbled streets overlooking the Ardèche. The Gard department also has a number of villages of character which are all equally beautiful, authentic and steeped in history.
THE PETIT TRAIN DES CEVENNES
Between Anduze and Saint Jean du Gard, the steam train of the Cévennes will make you discover the Gardons valley and its admirable panoramas.
At full steam, from viaducts to tunnels, you will be able to rediscover the railways of yesteryear. A stop at the Cévennes Bamboo Grove will allow you to visit this sublime exotic and luxuriant garden, unique in Europe, between two trains.
THE BAMBOUSERAIE
The Bambouseraie des Cévennes offers a unique and rare moment of complicity with nature. Classified as one of the most beautiful gardens in France, this fantastic garden offers walkers a remarkable exotic spectacle. Even if bamboos are the star of the show, one can also admire trees of remarkable size and longevity such as sequoias, gingko bilobas, magnolias and other equally extraordinary varieties. The Petit train des Cévennes stops at the Bamboo plantation. Climb into one of the carriages and travel through the Cévennes panoramas.

NÎMES AND ITS JEWELS
The city of Nîmes evokes the image of the Roman city par excellence by the richness of its monuments inherited from Antiquity. Among the most emblematic monuments: the Arenas, the best preserved amphitheatre in the ancient world. Nearby, you can stroll through the Gardens of the Fountain, created in the 18th century on the ancient site of the Source, which will lead you to the Tour Magne and the Temple of Diana.
